ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF AS&H

The Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities is the base of Tirumala Engineering College. The department consists of 42 committed faculty who are well-known for their intellectual vitality,versatility, creativity and dedicate themselves to the highest levels of excellence in the cultivation of learning and the creation of knowledge across a broad spectrum of disciplines like English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences and Management. They support the core Engineering Departments by providing students with a means to expand their understanding of and engagement with the technological and scientific society and culture in which they live, and to obtain the skills that will lead to successful and enriching careers.

The Department is fortunate enough to have five Doctorates and well experienced faculty. Majority of the faculty members are actively involved in research and development activities. The college management encourages the faculty members to attend workshops, conferences, seminars to update their knowledge to meet the current needs of the student. The faculty has attended many training programs conducted by various reputed organizations.

The faculty members has extend their services in providing the students with all sorts of academic requirements apart from the university designed curriculum. The faculty strives hard for the welfare of the students not only in the academics but also in the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.The faculty extends theirs free hands to the allround development of the student by providing all provisions to meet the students needs.
